FF: White Fit and Flare Dress
Embroidered detailing paired with a sophisticated silhouette, has quickly made this dress one of my favorites from French Connection’s spring collection. Before heading out of town last weekend, I headed to SoHo to find a dress for the first cocktail party I was planning to attend in Dallas. I was so torn on what to go with, this amazing floral numberquickly caught my eye, as did this incredible beaded dress, but I have been on the hunt for a dress with embroidered detail, so this one won me over. I have to admit though, I did have a moment of panic for choosing this fabric when we were practically caught in a tornado at the outdoor party, but with the double lining I was saved!
Since I knew the party was on grass, I went with a classic pair of wedges. Speaking of shoes, I’m still on the hunt for some new heels for summer. Anyone out there know of any must have deals?! This colorful pair of heels are really calling my name and, for those of you who have asked about a shoe that is appropriate for an outdoor summer wedding, I have been loving these thicker heel, nude sandals.
These pictures were clearly not taken in Dallas, that tornado/thunderstorm I mentioned kind of ruined those plans. Instead, these were shot in the one only Central Park. This past Wednesday was absolutely gorgeous out so I headed uptown to check out (and snap some pictures) with all of the Cherry Blossoms. So many people were outdoors having a picnic, running along the reservoir, and taking in the beautiful day. Moments like this make me fall in love with this city all over again. You truly can’t beat spring in NYC. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
