FASHION FRIDAY: How To Style A Bodycon Dress in the Spring
Happy #FASHIONWEDNESDAY! It is a beautiful and sunny Wednesday morning here, and I am sitting eating breakfast with my husband because I am a procrastinator. #SOS. But really, I am so excited about this post because last week I saw someone post about how you can’t wear anything but flowy floral dresses in the spring because everything else is out of season. SO, UNNAMED PERSON, I AM HERE TO DISPUTE THAT CLAIM. I think you can pull off whatever you want in Spring, so I’m pulling out my favorite bodycon dress and showing you how, yes, you CAN wear this style during these springy months.
How To Style A Bodycon Dress in the Spring

Let’s jump into this: a bodycon dress doesn’t have to collect dust in your closet during February-May. I chose a typically black and white dress with geometric angles because I felt it was the “least” spring-inspired outfit — basically I wanted the biggest challenge I could find.

STEP ONE: Pop of color.
This dress by itself doesn’t lend itself to look like spring, but it’s black and white so it IS classic. These colors lend themselves to being paired with just about anything. I chose a bright coral shoe for this reason. You can also pair it with a light pink, mint green, hot pink, light blue, etc….go crazy.

STEP TWO: Spring-ify your makeup.
I did my makeup with pinks, peaches and corals (in fact — you can watch my tutorial for this exact look HERE). I went with a more neutral lip since my eyes had a bunch of colors, but if I were to do this look again, I think I would go with neutral eyes and a bright lip that matches my shoes. I love love love the way that looks.

STEP THREE: Accessorize.
The necklace I chose for this outfit is a nod to the geometric shapes on the dress. They aren’t the same, but they are eclectic and disjointed, which contrasts nicely with the dress pattern. I wanted my shoes to be the single pop in the outfit, so the necklace I picked was black. You could always stick to neutral makeup and go with bright jewelry and shoes (10/10 would recommend).

Similar Dresses + Accessories:
I know today’s post was short and sweet, but I hope you learned something anyways. I love this bodycon dress, and it was actually sold by the same company that sent me the sequin bomber (check them out HERE). It is fully lined, super well made and the material feels solid. I hate clothing that feels like it is going to fall apart quickly!! I was extremely pleased with this brand. Their prices are really affordable, too (A+ in my book).
