Baked Apples for Two Spoons of Grace

THESE ARE MY NEW FAVORITE THING THIS FALL – SO EASY, SO DELICIOUS, AND SO MUCH HEALTHIER THAN APPLE PIE! YOU CAN THROW THESE TOGETHER AFTER DINNER EVEN FOR AN EASY WEEKNIGHT DESSERT!

My better half, Richard, is a chocoholic (and mostly an ice-cream man) but he loves these Baked Apples too!

Apples are good for you in so many ways, making these a much healthier dessert for Richard and me compared to our usual moose tracks or chocolate chip cookies!!! Why are apples so good for you?
  • They’re full of fiber.
  • They are good for your teeth.
  • They lower cholesterol.
  • They boost your immune system because they’re full of vitamin C.
  • They are linked to weight loss.
That’s just a few of the reasons you need to make these sweet, cinnamon Baked Apples for Two for dessert tonight! Not to mention, fiberful oats are great for you too!

Another plus – if you have some apples that have gotten a little too mushy, you can make these instead of wasting them and throwing them away!

YOU WON’T BELIEVE HOW QUICK AND EASY THESE BAKED APPLES ARE.

The most difficult part is coring the apple….which if you have an apple corer is a breeze! You simply stir up the melted butter, oats, brown sugar, and flour…. then stuff it in the apple… and sprinkle with cinnamon. These bake for about 45 minutes to an hour and are perfected when you top them with a bit of vanilla ice cream or sweet whipped cream. YUM!!!! These have become a fall staple at my house….I want to make them over and over.
