Happy Monday friends! Did you have a wonderful Easter weekend? I always love this weekend so much, because it's such a chance for reflection and sweet celebration (you can read more about my thoughts here).

Well I've been really excited to share today's look with you, because I have a new brand to love- Buddy Love to be exact! When I was visiting my girlfriends in Raleigh for my birthday weekend we went shopping and I stumbled upon this show-stopping tunic top. It was one of those pieces that I KNEW I would regret not getting if it didn't come home with me. So I checked out real quick!! After doing some more internet stalking research on the brand, I realized I actually owned another dress from them (a favorite of mine) and I pretty much wanted everything on their website! There's bright prints & bold patterns- two things I adore!

This tunic is pretty long on me (I'm 5'4 for reference) so I half-tucked it to help lengthen my legs. But if you're taller it would be SO cute as a swingy tunic with white denim or tucked into denim shorts! Lots of ideas to style it!

DIY Bud Vase | @dcgirlinpearls
Happy Friday!! I’ve been on a bit of a blog break this week while I’m home to spend more time with my family and friends and it’s been exactly what the doctor ordered. I’m breaking my break for a good cause though: Earth Day! This year, Earth Day is celebrated tomorrow on April 22nd and IZZE challenged me to reuse my IZZE bottles in a fun way.
Having flowers around the house is a must for me. I gladly gave up my Starbucks habit to spend that money on fresh flowers for around my apartment. Because at the end of a work day, I love coming home to seeing bright, happy blooms on my dining table or waking up to the soothing scent of hyacinth. Vases can be pricey so let’s DIY a bud vase with an IZZE bottle!
To me the easiest, prettiest DIY needs only one thing: Metallic gold spray paint.
The gift of the DIY golds. It’s literally liquid gold (I had to) when it comes to sprucing something up. Gold spray paint puts just 24 hours between you and a reinvigorated decor piece that you can reuse. Sometimes that piece is the bottle of IZZE you just finished drinking or poured into a refreshing cocktail.
All you need to turn an empty IZZE bottle into a beautiful bud vase is a can of gold spray paint and a tarp. For the best spray painting, I highly recommend you get a spray tool. It clamps right around the nozzle and helps keep your hand steady as you paint. It’s only $5 and makes spray painting so so flawless.
Once the IZZE bottle is empty, remove the labels. The labels came off very easily for me but if need be, use Goo-B-Gone to get rid of the sticky label. Once the bottle is clean and rinsed, it’s time to get painting. Lay down a tarp outside and set the bottle down right-side up. Using the spray tool, apply an even layer of paint to the bottle and apply another layer about an hour later. Let dry for 24 hours.
Voila! A beautiful bud vase to keep your home brimming with bright blooms all throughout spring. And the best part is being able to give your IZZE bottle a second life!
Celebrate Earth Day and DIY a bud vase with IZZE : )

With summer on the horizon, my roomie Caroline and I have been making it our mission to get more active and eat cleaner. In the winter, it was easy to skip the gym or get food delivered because it was too cold outside, so now that the weather is much warmer, we're changing our ways for the remainder of the semester! Since snacking is such a large part of college, I thought I would give you guys some ideas for healthy snacks I've been eating lately because I've actually really been enjoying them.

Also, a little tidbit I wanted to share that I've learned this year: if you're like me, avoid having any kind of junk food (ie. ice cream, candy, etc.) in your dorm because you will get bored and eat it all. If I don't have anything unhealthy in my room, then most often than not I won't binge eat anything. However, we've had a lot of Easter candy in the past few days that we easily could have avoided (especially after 10 pm when we are craving sweets!).

*via

+ banana and peanut butter
I think I've had a banana and peanut butter every day for the past two weeks... They're so addicting! I've been trying to make a conscious effort to avoid dessert as much as possible (this all goes out the window during exams, oops) and a banana with some peanut butter acts as the perfect substitute. It's sweet and really filling, plus really good for you because it's packed with potassium and fiber! I'll swing by the dining hall in the morning or before doing work to grab a single serving container of peanut butter and a banana for the perfect snack.

+ Greek yogurt and granola
I've really been on a Greek yogurt kick lately - I eat it at least 4-5 times per week for either breakfast, lunch or just a mid-day pick me up. If I want to make it a full meal, I'll pop it in a bowl with some berries and granola, or I'll eat it by itself if I'm not as hungry. A lot of people here also eat the  Chobani flips which I'm a little intimidated to try, but they sound delicious nonetheless!

+ humus and veggies
Every time we run to Target or CVS, I always pick up a small container of humus to keep in our fridge. Whether I'm eating crackers, carrots or celery, I love adding a little humus for protein and extra flavor. This is nice to keep on hand because it doesn't expire too quickly.

+ one serving microwave popcorn
Oh my gosh you guys... my roomie and I swear by the  Skinny Girl lime and sea salt popcorn. It's only 160 calories per bag and you get the same crunchy taste with a lot less calories than the traditional greasy stuff. You can get it shipped to you from places like Amazon or Walmart in case you don't have access to a store nearby!

+ Fresh fruit salad
Honestly, half the time when I crave a snack it's just to have some food in my mouth... Like you could literally give me a bag of chips or a bowl of fruit and I wouldn't know the difference haha (well, maybe not :). My dining hall has a pretty good fruit section most of the time, so after class if I am in the mood for something sweet, I'll get a bowl of grapes and berries to satisfy my taste buds.

What healthy snacks do you recommend for college students?
xoxo

Embroidered Dress (also available here, here and here) // Clare V. Alice Tote & Tassel Charm // Extra Large Monogram Necklace // Blue Suede Sandals (Under $100) // Gold Bangle // Yurman Bracelet

Happy Monday, y'all! Todays post is featuring a piece that has been a favorite of mine for three years now. I usually stick to my rule of buying clothing that is under $100, but this pretty embroidered dress is an exception for so many reasons. It has obviously been a hit for many others as well, because this is the third year it has made a comeback in more color options than ever before. I immediately fell for the ivory and love the way it looks paired with my favorite blue sandals. I also just saw that it comes in a gorgeous pink. It does fit on the loose side, so keep that in mind if you decide to get it (wearing an XS for reference). I love the intricate details from the lace around the neckline, the pleats at the top and the embroidery throughout. It is an easy breezy piece that I enjoy all spring and summer long. Yes, this dress is just that good :)

I hope y'all had a great weekend! My Mama, Madeline and I had a fun little day trip to Columbia, SC. on Friday for a little bit of shopping and a delicious Italian dinner. It was just what we needed. It's crazy how even getting away for a few hours can do so much for you! It has been the most gorgeous weather that I just want to bottle up and save (can it please stay like this all summer long and not get crazy hot?!). We enjoyed it with some time at the park on Saturday. And remember that research paper I mentioned in Friday's post? I realized on Saturday that yesterday was the 9th and it was due yesterday. So, Saturday night, I put Madeline to bed, worked on it for a while, went to sleep for three hours, woke up at three in the morning to work on it before getting ready for church, came home from church and cuddled with Madeline some, went to shoot a few looks for the blog this week and came home to finish it. Somehow, I got it turned in haha. I always stress over things that are due, but I'm always reminded that somehow in some way, it will all get done. Anyways, that was what our weekend looked like around here :)

Hope y'all have a very happy Monday!
Delightfully Yours,

I have about 25 tabs (I wish I was exaggerating) open right now with things I have my eye on. So much good spring stuff!!! It doesn't help that Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons either. I need to find a way to control myself.

We have a short week this week and I'm headed home tomorrow for an extended weekend for Easter! It will be nice to have some time at home to relax, see my family, and if I'm lucky convince my parents to maybe accompany me to the mall. ;)

Obsessed with this shirt, this shirt, this shirt, this dress, and these sandals!!

Remember,

Organization is something that has always been important to me. Whether that be within the home, at the office or keeping track of my daily meetings and to-dos. In order to make it through my (typically) jam packed weeks, I have to stay on top of everything by writing it down. I love technology, don't get me wrong, but there's just something about having a physical planner to reference and being able to cross an item off my to-do list, by hand.

My go to planner for keeping me organized has always been the Erin Condren LifePlanner™.

A few weeks ago I was invited to a happy hour with the Erin Condren team, and was so excited to meet them + checkout their newest products. I've been a fan of EC for years, so I couldn't wait to see how other Washingtonians styled their planners.

I first discovered Erin Condren LifePlanners™ back in college. I used several throughout my collegiate years. They were always the best planners to keep track of my schoolwork + sorority activities. Post college I tried a few other planners, but always came back to Erin Condren. Why? Well here are five reasons why I love her planners the most:

  1. It's not a basic planner | I've never been a fan of the cookie cutter planners, where either it's just a ton of blank lines or a timeline of the day. Let's be honest, the timeline planners aren't the most practical. Not all meetings or activities start right at a new hour. There are also some planners that are just calendar layout only. I need more space to write than a tiny box. Thankfully Erin Condren LifePlanners™ offer both options in one! I use the calendar pages for planning out my travel + blog posts. And use the weekly pages for keeping track of my meetings, events and to-dos. -- They're also just so much fun to use! My Erin Condren planner offers a creative way to stay organized, and adds a little color to my day!
  2. Personalization | Going along with reason #1, Erin Condren planners can be personalized in hundreds of ways. Whether you design your own planner cover + add your monogram, to choosing the dashboard inserts, to being creative on each page with stickers or washi tape, you can really make the planner your own. Everything is customizable!
  3. Really though, the options are endless | I can't talk on the personalization + customization enough. I am loving their new dashboards that pop in any Erin Condren planner. My favorites are the wellness and meal planner dashboards. You can write out your meals for the week, keep track of your water intake and exercise. When a week ends, reflect on all you've accomplished and then wipe clean (using an erasable pen) for a new week ahead!
  4. Not just planners | Erin Condren doesn't stop at just your planner. They are a lifestyle brand that also sells stationery, office supplies, home decor, pillows and more. Design your planner, and then purchase matching notebooks, notepads, stationery and more. EC also sells their own pens for their planners and they ensure the ink won't bleed through!
  5. High quality | With planners, the quality is key. You don't want something that's flimsy that won't hold up the entire year. I look for high quality paper so that my pens don't bleed through. Quality is important to me, and so the size. I don't want something that's super bulky. The small, yet spacious LifePlanner, allows plenty of room to write everything down and not add too much weight to my purse each day.

Love what you see? Get yourself organized for school or work and save 15% off your order with code GETSOCIAL15 (code expires 7/31/17). Erin Condren LifePlanners™ and calendars are currently 50% off!! Get to shopping y'all!
