5 Podcasts You Need to Listen To

by - Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Podcasts have become my new obsession! Long car rides or tedious work is no longer a drag. If I can listen to an intriguing story, help crack a case, or improve myself from creative tips from the best then why wouldn’t I? There are so many out there…some bad and some good, so I am here to help get you started ;)

WHEN MEGHAN MET HARRY

Thanks to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the world will be gifted with the greatest wedding of all time. And thanks to James Barr and Kristen Meinzer, we now have the perfect BFFs to help us unwrap all the feels. Each week, James and Kristen obsess over the love story details, digest the latest nuptial news, and speculate about what will go down at the royal wedding itself. Along the way, they talk with expert guests and friends of the couple, including the royal astrologer, a crown jewels historian, and Harry's best army buddy. Be a part of the greatest love story ever told, just by listening.

If you're obsessed with the Royal Family like I am, this is the podcast for you!

POPTARTS

"Poptarts" is a bi-monthly podcast hosted by "BUST Magazine" editors, Emily Rems and Callie Watts, that celebrates women in pop culture. The first half of each episode is devoted to a hot topic in entertainment, and in the second half, a segment called "Whatcha Watchin'?," Callie and Emily dig into all the shows, movies, books, music, videos, and podcasts they've enjoyed since the last episode, and either praise or pan each experience.

UP AND VANISHED

"Up and Vanished" is an investigative podcast that explores the unsolved disappearance of a Georgia beauty queen and high school teacher, Tara Grinstead. The 11-year-old cold case is the largest case file in the history of Georgia. Follow along as host Payne Lindsey, a film director turned amateur investigator, examines old case evidence and re-interviews persons of interest.

What happened to Tara Grinstead?

This podcast will keep you on the edge of your seat! I grew up in GA, so I feel personally invested in bringing Tara to justice. They have real-time breaking news too... talk about the "wow" factor!

THE HEALTH CODE

Welcome to The Health Code! A fun, informative, unfiltered and real podcast run by health and fitness YouTuber, Sarah's Day and professional photographer, content creator, personal trainer and... Sarah's boyfriend, Kurt Tilse. This dynamic duo is here to crack the code on all things health, fitness, lifestyle, relationships and building your dream career. Get ready, because they're about to reveal some serious tips, tricks, and healthy hacks!

Sezzy and Kurt is the cutest couple, and with their awesome Aussie accents, you won’t mind listening to them over and over again.

DIRTY JOHN

Reported and hosted by Christopher Goffard from the L.A. Times.

Debra Newell is a successful interior designer. She meets John Meehan, a handsome man who seems to check all the boxes: attentive, available, just back from a year in Iraq with "Doctors Without Borders". But her family doesn’t like John, and they get entangled in an increasingly complex web of love, deception, forgiveness, denial, and ultimately, survival.

At first, I was hesitant to listen in and now I'm so glad I did! This true crime is so crazy you couldn’t make this up. I listened to this right after it happened, so it was even creepier to me.

You will seriously wonder what you did before podcasts! Cooking is no longer boring and reading is not always a necessity to get a good story. The best part is it's FREE!
