Easy Office Plants

Have you ever been scrolling through Pinterest and noticed all the cute greenery that adorns every office space these days? Ever wanted to have plants of your own at your desk or office, but haven't known where to start? Are you scared that your plants will immediately die within a week? You're not alone!

I recently tapped into my inner gardener and gifted all my coworkers small office plants that are extremely easy to care for and need minimal sunlight exposure. Everyone has so enjoyed caring for their plant child, and they have all thrived so far! An added bonus is that our shared office space is looking much greener and more cheerful!  Having plants in the office offers so many benefits, which include, but are not limited to: filtering the air, reducing noise levels, reducing stress and an enhanced perception of your space.

After this pretty astounding indoor plant success (we can’t all have green thumbs), I wanted to share with you five of my favorite plants that will be the perfect addition to your work area. Read on for greener work spaces!

With all of this knowledge it’s time for you to try growing at least a couple of these plants!  You just might end up loving your office space, and end up feeling a little more at home, at work! After you have developed your own green thumb, help out the coworker you share a wall, desk, or cube with and make your space a leafy green haven. For more info on office plants check out your local Home Depot or Lowes, where friendly staff will be sure to point you in the right direction! There you can get the right plants, pot, and soil. Now go forth and get your plant on, but remember, the grass is always greener where you water it!
